It's been a while since we published a TADA downloads chart. Our apologies. No excuses, really, though we did head up to Tokyo last week to interview Tenniscoats and 4 Bonjour's Parties (an amazing gig - read all about it here). We've also taken the time to discover the wonders of Kabaddi Kabaddi Kabaddi Kabaddi, who we hope to be bringing you coverage of soonish, not to mention chatting with the sublime Mondialito and Akira Kosemura. Things are looking up on the Japanese underground!

In the meantime, it's all-change in the TADA downloads top 5. Remember, clicking on the artist's name in the chart list below will take you to their TADA page. Clicking on the collection titles will automatically start the related download.

With double the downloads of their nearest competitor, The Watanabes are straight in at No.1 with their Getting Over Yuka collection. Undoubtedly, this has something to do with their recent inclusion in the Japanzine Gaijin Sounds compilation, but where oh where is that album they've been promising? Maybe Morrissey's slapped them with a plagiarism charge (only kidding, guys!)

Despite missing out on the Gaijin Sounds collection, The Loving Oven maintain their place in the top five, lurking at No.2 with If I Told You. Look out for more Loving stuff in the near future. They're experimenting with bassoons, apparently!

No.3 on our list is Nand, by Decentred. If you're into electronic bleepy noises, you'd be a fool to miss out on this treat.

At No.4 we have the unsigned kings of funk-rock, Kracker Japz with their 3 Track Single. They're currently on a hiatus, apparently, but that's not stopping the downloads.

Lastly, but not leastly (?), Roi Schaider makes another appearance in the top 5 with their Into the Sun MAXI single. Nice stuff, this. Well worth the FREE download. Incidentally, Roi Schaider have a new guitarist. More on that later, though.
